Program Overview

Direct medical cost savings are based on a comparison of actual TRT™ per claim treatment costs with a State of Colorado historic average per claim treatment cost of $2,692. Average TRT™ per claim treatment cost for these claims was $708 for a savings of $1,984.

Savings in lost time from work is based on a 2002 State of Colorado study showing a 33 hour reduction in employee lost time from work attributable to on-site TRT treatment. Annual employee compensation of base pay including benefits of $40,000, or $20/hour, was used to calculate an estimated savings in lost time from work of $660 per claim.
