Chris Lecumberry – Director of Training and Specialist Supervisor

Chris Lecumberry is a passionate trainer whose enthusiasm for the students, clients and techniques is infectious to all who work with him. Chris’ trainings focus on pace, touch and body mechanics for our specialists as well as an in-depth understanding of the nervous system and how it relates to pain. His outgoing personality and sense of humor make the training sessions enjoyable while informative.

After receiving his BS degree Chris trained at the Guild for Structural Integration and has been in practice since 1999. Chris began working with Dorn Companies in 2000. He has a successful structural integration practice while continuing to do both wellness and worker’s comp treatments with Dorn Companies. Chris’ experience with both structural body work and pain treatment has given him unique insight into the relationship between physical balance and pain.

Fran Wagner

Fran Wagner, of First Response Ergonomics, has worked with injured and disabled workers since 1988. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, a Master’s degree in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling (workers’ compensation), and a Master’s degree in Human Factors & Ergonomics. She understands how injuries and disabilities affect work functions, and can identify the work functions that are likely to cause injuries.

Fran was first introduced to work limitations that result from injury or disability when she adjudicated Social Security disability claims for the Social Security Administration. From there, Fran transitioned into the Workers’ Compensation industry where she worked as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor and a Functional Capacity Evaluator. This is where she came to understand the importance of injury prevention in an attempt to save human resources and Workers’ Compensation costs. Both objectives can be met with early ergonomic intervention.

Fran combines her training in interior design and ergonomics to address design and space-planning problems that can cause ergonomic risk factors in the work place. This kind of intervention is most effective during the design phase of new construction, or during renovation.

As an independent consultant, Fran does fieldwork in industrial and office settings. In addition to working with private and public sector employees, she co-teaches the ergonomics component of the Occupational & Environmental Management certificate program at the University of California / Davis (UCD), and trains UCD staff in ergonomic awareness and evaluation. As a technical writer for Cal/OSHA and Federal OSHA, Fran has authored ergonomic training materials that are distributed nationally.

In 1996, Fran founded the Sacramento Ergonomics Roundtable, which continues to be a forum for employers and ergonomics professionals committed to making the work place safe.
