Who is a typical Dorn Companies’ customer?

Dorn Companies’ typical client is a public entity or private business that wants to reduce workers’ compensation claims and costs, medical and RX claims and reduce the impact on employee benefit programs such as short term and long term disability. They are also interested in reducing their OSHA 300 recordables. A typical client has anywhere from a few hundred up to thousands of employees.


What exactly is TRT treatment?

TRT, or Trauma Release™ Techniques, is our name for the proprietary, deep manual therapy treatment we provide. It is a system of deep tissue manual therapy consisting of more than 90 specific protocols or methods for treating each different type of pain condition.


How can you save us money?

Dorn Companies’ programs reduce your costs in many ways: reducing the numbers of workers’ compensation claims and associated costs, reducing employer health plan utilization and costs, reducing employee absenteeism and improving worker productivity and morale. When you use our PainFree™ early intervention program, your employees' painful injuries are treated at an early stage before they become chronic and the employee files a workers’ compensation claim or seeks health care through your health benefits programs.

When you use our programs to treat your workers’ compensation claims, our costs are typically about one-third the cost of traditional clinic treatment for the same injury. We are on-site. Reductions in worker absenteeism are substantial since the employee is not away from the worksite for long clinic visits but is gone from their work station for only 30 minutes per session. Your costs are also reduced through our HealthManagement™ ergonomic services and employee instruction in self-care and injury prevention techniques that reduce the incidence of work-related injuries.

No. Dorn Companies is responsible for start-up costs and managing the programs.

Why is TRT so effective?

While traditional physical therapy and occupational therapy clinics treat painful muscular injuries, their approach is often shots, drugs, braces, splints, mild stretching, hot packs, and electric stimulation and other treatment modalities. Few of these modalities involve the physical manipulation of the tissues under trauma. Scientific studies show the form of therapy that is often the quickest, safest and most effective and least expensive is hands-on, deep tissue manipulation or manual therapy.
